Local Scoopers LLC – Terms of Service

Welcome to Local Scoopers LLC (“Local Scoopers,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By requesting, approving, scheduling, or receiving service, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Service Overview

Local Scoopers provides pet waste removal services on a recurring or one-time basis. Recurring services are completed on route-based schedules, and specific arrival times are not guaranteed.

We reserve the right to adjust service days as needed to maintain efficient routing.

2. Service Access & Property Requirements

Customers must provide safe and unobstructed access to all designated service areas.

  • Gates must be unlocked, functional, and accessible

  • Pathways must be clear of hazards or obstructions

If access is not available for any reason, the visit will be skipped and the full service fee will still apply.

3. Pet Safety Requirements

For safety:

  • All dogs must be secured indoors or away from the service area

  • Protective or Aggressive Dogs
    If your dog is known to be protective, territorial, or aggressive, Local Scoopers may require an “on-the-way” text confirmation prior to arrival. Customers must verify that all dogs are secured indoors and that any dog doors are closed before service begins. If confirmation is not received or pets are not properly secured, service may be skipped and the full service fee will still apply.

  • Local Scoopers is not liable for incidents involving unsecured animals.

We value the safety of both your pets and our team. If a dog behaves aggressively or poses an immediate threat, our technicians may take reasonable and necessary action to protect themselves and safely exit the property.

4. Gate & Fence Responsibility

We take care to close gates after service and may provide a photo confirming closure.

Customers are responsible for maintaining:

  • Gate latches

  • Fence integrity

Local Scoopers is not responsible for pet escapes due to faulty gates or fencing.

5. Scope of Service

Service includes removal of visible pet waste within designated areas.

We do not guarantee removal of waste that is:

  • Hidden in tall grass

  • Covered by leaves, debris, mulch, or snow

  • Obstructed by yard conditions

6. Yard Conditions & Heavy Cleanups

If a yard contains excessive waste or is not in scoop-ready condition:

  • A first-time or heavy cleanup fee may apply

  • Service may be extended, rescheduled, or declined

Additional time beyond one (1) hour may be billed at:
$15 per 15-minute increment

7. Additional Services

Optional services may include:

  • Waste haul-away

  • Yard deodorizing or sanitizing

  • Yard size upgrades

Results may vary. No guarantee is made regarding odor removal or sanitization effectiveness.

8. Billing, Prepaid Plans & Service Rates

Prepaid Recurring Services

  • Weekly, twice-weekly, and biweekly services are billed in advance on the 1st of each month

  • Pricing is based on a 52-week annual cycle divided into 12 equal monthly payments

Example:
$15 per weekly visit Ă— 52 weeks = $780 annually
$780 Ă· 12 months = $65 per month

Non-Prepaid / One-Time Services

  • Services not enrolled in a prepaid plan are treated as one-time services

  • One-time services are billed at the standard rate

  • If service exceeds one (1) hour, additional time is billed at:
    $15 per 15-minute increment

Promotions

  • “First service free” promotions apply only after the first prepaid month has been completed

  • Promotions are limited to one per customer unless otherwise stated

Payment Terms

  • A valid card on file is required

  • Charges are processed automatically

  • Failed payments may result in:

    • Service interruption

    • Additional fees

9. Weather & Service Interruptions

We operate in most weather conditions. However, service may be delayed or skipped due to unsafe conditions.

  • Missed visits may be completed at the next scheduled service

  • If a service cannot be completed due to weather, the following visit will include two weeks’ worth of waste removal, which reflects the value of the skipped visit

  • No refunds or credits are issued for weather-related delays or skipped visits

10. Photos & Service Communication

  • Before and after photos may be taken for documentation and quality control

  • A gate-closed photo may be sent after service to confirm completion

Photos are used for service verification and will not be used publicly without consent.

11. Communication & Notifications

By providing your contact information and agreeing to service, you consent to receive communications from Local Scoopers via text message and email.

Text Messages

  • Up to two (2) messages per week

  • May include:

    • Service completion notifications

    • Gate-closed confirmation photos

    • Service updates

Email Communications

  • Typically up to one (1) email per week

  • May include:

    • Billing notifications and receipts

    • Service reminders

    • Scheduling updates

    • Promotions or announcements

Consent & Opt-Out

  • Standard message and data rates may apply

  • Customers may opt out of non-essential communications by contacting us

  • Opting out of essential service communications may impact service delivery

12. Cancellation & Satisfaction Policy

Cancellation

  • Customers may cancel service at any time

Prepaid Services

  • No refunds are issued for prepaid services

  • Remaining prepaid visits will still be completed

  • Once completed, service will be paused unless continued by the customer

Satisfaction Guarantee

  • Concerns must be reported within 24 hours

  • We will return and perform a re-clean at no charge

No Refund Policy

Local Scoopers does not provide refunds for:

  • Completed services

  • Prepaid services

  • Missed visits due to access or pet issues

  • Weather-related interruptions

13. Right to Refuse Service

Local Scoopers reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time due to:

  • Unsafe conditions

  • Aggressive animals

  • Non-compliance with these Terms

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Local Scoopers is not liable for damages caused by:

    • Yard conditions

    • Hidden hazards

    • Unsecured animals

  • Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the most recent service

We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

15. Customer Responsibility

Customers agree to:

  • Maintain safe yard conditions

  • Provide accurate service information

  • Secure pets during service

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Local Scoopers from claims arising from their property or pets.

16. Privacy

Customer information is kept confidential and used only for service-related purposes unless required by law.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.

18. Agreement

By requesting, approving, scheduling, or receiving service, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms of Service.
